The winners of WCG 2007  emuLate did not pass trough the French qualifier and will not defendi their title in Cologne. Esport EU will be representing France instead.

The biggest surprise of the qualifier was that the WCG champions emuLate were knocked out in the group stage. The best French team only managed to beat one opponent in group play (eXtreme Gaming 16-9) and lost to aAa and Ubiteam 12-6.
With the Extreme Masters III season around the corner (tournaments in Los Angeles, Montreal and Dubai), it looks like emuLate have a lot of work ahead of them.
