DreamHack is the world's largest LAN-party, demoparty and computer festival! Last winter it checked in 12.782 people! DreamHack is focused on everything you can do with computers: a lot of gaming and communication. Programming, designing, music composing and whatever you can imagine! And it organizes a lot of large game tournaments.

The DreamHack summer has just started this weekend and the groups for the WGT tournament have been drawn. It was done by lotter and not by seeds this time and there is quite a few top teams attending. Many "top" teams will attend on this tournament, and will all fight for the honored 1st place.

Although Made in Brazil was expected at the tournament, the winner of the last WGT event decided not to attend Dreamhack, alleging lack of training as the reason to miss out on WGT action.

It was later confirmed that the Brazilian team would be replaced by Spirit of Amiga, who comes to this tournament with its latest additions, Brian “hpx” Christensen and Jack "wazorN" Henriksen.

Team mTw comes into this event high on confidence following a first-place finish at KODE5 Global Finals. The Danish team pretty much stormed over its opponents to take back home a sum of $25,000.

Denmark's top squad team mates, who will play this tournament for the Excello o rganisation, has been riding high on form, having defeated mTw in the Dreamhack qualifier, and it will be interesting to see how far this team can go.

Meet Your Makers managed just a fourth-place finish at KODE5 and will be looking forward to this event to put an end to its title drought which has seen it not lift a major trophy since ESWC 2007.

This event will be of a great importance to both SK Gaming and fnatic. With Marcus "zet" Sundström interested in a return to 1.6 action, a poor campaign this weekend may well result in roster changes.
